BRENT DAVID FREANEY (b. 1985, Florida) is an artist working in digital media and conceptual sculpture.

Since 2011 he has created, designed, and developed a body of work committed to fueling subculture across the digital landscape both through his studio, Special Offer, Inc. and his personal practice, where projects are animated by a desire to generate new exploratory and critical frameworks. Approaching identity systems as malleable structures, Freaney works within the confines afforded by the internet to reshape the possibilities of unbounded digital space.

Designing For Other Artists

As an artist yourself, working with other (extremely opinionated) artists can result in its own set of challenges. Trying to sell your ideas in user interface can be cumbersome when having to take into account an opposing aesthetic and experiential body of work.

 

I'll walk through the successes and failures of working with other artists in my career, and explain why trust in aesthetic direction is paramount in successful projects.
